There are days when such darkness hangs before us that whatever lies beyond it looks like a total disaster. Those are the moments when you just want to cancel the whole day, hide under the covers and pretend you don’t exist.
And yet, right then, you’ll always find incurable optimists who, instead of giving up, start planting trees… trees of patience, kindness, or faithfulness. When the heavy gloom finally parts, revealing that the sky is actually blue, everything they planted in the dark will suddenly stand tall in the bright daylight. Blooming, green, in full glory.
Because no misery lasts forever, darlings! There will be sunshine, flowers, joy, an so on, and so forth, there will. Let’s keep going until we live to see that day.
