Image licensing
Every image on this site is my own work twice over — the painting itself, and the photograph of it. All of it is protected by copyright, and all rights are reserved.
That said, I love seeing my paintings travel. Images of my work are available for licensing, editorial and commercial alike: articles and books, covers, film and television, products and packaging, interiors and exhibitions.
How to license an image
Write to info@luciatuzinska.com with:
- the painting — a link to its page on this site is perfect,
- the use — editorial, cover, product, advertising, …
- the scope — territory, print run or audience, and duration.
I'll reply with a quote and a short, plain-language licence agreement. Every licence is priced individually — the price follows the use, not the painting.
What a licence is — and isn't
A licence grants the agreed reproduction rights and nothing more; the copyright itself always stays with me, the author. The same holds in the other direction: buying an original painting or a print does not transfer any reproduction rights — owning the physical work and owning the image are separate things.
Unless we agree otherwise, every licensed use carries the credit Lucia Tužinská, with a link to this site where the medium allows one.
Sharing my work online
Sharing images of my paintings on social media or your blog needs no licence and no permission, as long as it's personal and non-commercial, the image is unaltered, and it's credited to me — with a link back to my website or a social network account.
