The deposit is your yes to the sketch’s direction, and it stays with the work – it isn’t refundable, because the materials and weeks it carries can’t be un-spent. The balance, though, is only ever paid for a finished painting you’ve seen. Because a commission is made to order, the shop’s 14-day return doesn’t apply; your legal rights regarding defects or damage in transit always do. The fine print lives in the terms of sale.

In five honest steps.

1. We talk – the wall, the mood, what the painting should hold; no art vocabulary needed.
2. I send a concept sketch and a fixed price.
3. when the direction feels right, a 50% deposit is your yes and the painting begins. You get progress photos along the way.
4. When it’s finished you receive a photo – you pay the balance only for a painting you’ve seen and want.
5. Then it arrives: tracked, with its certificate and story.

Directly means there is no gallery between us – a painting goes from my studio to your door. You choose it in the catalogue, where every available original shows its price in euros; you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay; I pack the work myself and send it tracked, with a signed certificate of authenticity.

You choose a painting or a print and pay by your preferred payment method. I confirm your order and pack the painting myself. I send you photos of the artwork wrapped before it ships. You get a tracking number, and in a few days, a knock on your door.

You pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are handled by Stripe – the same payment company behind much of the internet’s checkout – so your payment details never touch my site at all.

Prices are in euros; if you browse in another currency you’ll see an approximate conversion, and your bank settles the exact amount in EUR.

Original paintings range from €1,000 to €3,000 – each painting’s exact price is right on its page, in euros, nothing hidden. Where a price lands depends mostly on the painting’s size, complexity and materials.

Commissions are quoted with the concept sketch.

Start with the wall, not the painting. Measure it and decide whether the painting should fill it or breathe on it. Above a sofa or a bed, a painting about two-thirds the width of the furniture below usually sits right; on an empty wall it only needs air around it.

Most of my paintings are between 40 × 50 and 90 × 110 cm – each one's page lists its size, and whether it is framed or has painted edges. And if you are unsure, send me a photo of the room and I'll tell you honestly which one I would hang on that wall.

A flat rate that depends on where you are and how large the work is – you’ll see the exact amount in your cart before you pay, never after. Rolled canvases travel cheapest. If you choose to have a painting shipped stretched, in its protective wooden box, I’ll send you a personal shipping quote before anything is charged.

With an original painting: the painting itself and a signed certificate of authenticity with the work’s title, dimensions and year, plus a short note about its story – the same one from its page, on paper, because it belongs with the work.

With a print: your hand-embellished impression, numbered and signed, with a certificate naming its edition.

Original art generally enters the US duty-free, and within the EU there are no customs at all. Where your country does charge import fees, they’re the buyer’s responsibility – if you are not sure and would like some help, contact me before buying and we’ll find out.

From my studio in Slovakia, to anywhere in the world, always with tracking. Some of my paintings have already made longer journeys than I have.

Paintings on canvas can travel rolled in a sturdy tube or stretched on a wooden frame, sent in a custom-made protective box. Paintings that can’t be rolled always ship in the protective box.

Smaller prints are sent as letters, larger prints rolled in a tube.

Every shipment is tracked.

I usually confirm your order within 24 hours and hand the painting to the courier within 3-5 working days – I always send you photos of it wrapped first. If a custom box has to be made for the painting, the delivery may take a few extra days.

I always use fast services so once the package is shipped, delivery shouldn’t take more than a few days to anywhere in the world.

Some paintings are already framed and come to you that way. The rest have painted edges and hang beautifully unframed.

If you’d like a frame, send me a photo of the room and I’ll tell you honestly what I’d do.

A painting has to live with you. If within 14 days you feel it isn’t yours, write to me, send it back the way it came, and I’ll refund the painting’s price in full.

It never happened – I pack as if the courier were my enemy. If it ever does: photograph the box and the work before anything else, write to me within 7 days of delivery, and I will repair, replace, or refund the piece.

Yes, please do. Sharing on social media or a blog needs no licence and no permission, as long as it’s personal and non-commercial, the image is unaltered, and it’s credited to me with a link back to my site or one of my accounts.

What buying doesn’t include is the right to reproduce the image commercially – printing it, putting it on a product, publishing it. Owning the painting and owning its image are separate things. If that’s what you need, see image licensing.

Yes. Images of my paintings are available for editorial and commercial licensing alike: articles and books, covers, film and television, products and packaging, interiors and exhibitions.

Write to info@luciatuzinska.com with the painting (a link to its page is perfect), the use, the scope, print run or audience, and duration. I’ll reply with a quote and a short, plain-language licence agreement; every licence is priced individually, because the price follows the use rather than the painting. The paintings are mine; the paperwork belongs to encode s. r. o., the Slovak company that is the merchant of record for this site (Račianska 88B, 831 02 Bratislava, Slovakia – IČO 51 968 622). Your card is charged by it, your invoice comes from it, and the terms of sale name it in full.
