To humanity, the universe has always seemed chaotic and unpredictable. Driven by a desire to comprehend the entire world, we tend to explain it all. In our own way. And so it happens that we sometimes get entangled in elaborate, ostentatious constructs that have very little to do with the Absolute Truth.
But why infinitely contemplate infinity when common sense tells us quite clearly what needs to be done here and now? The rest of the universe’s mysteries can be confidently left to Providence—and we might as well brew ourselves an Earl Grey with milk.
